
Thanks for taking part in the Junior Landcare Watermelon Challenge. You can find out more about Junior Landcare, get info about JL funding and be the first to know about the next challenge by regularly visiting www.juniorlandcare.com. The NEW Junior Landcare website will be launched in April.
Step 1 - Registrations have now closed. Registered participants will receive seeds in the mail shortly. Make sure you take note of which variety of seeds you've received: Candy Red or Country Sweet.
Step 2 - Grow the biggest, juiciest watermelon you can. You will need to log on here each month to enter the weight and circumference of your watermelon so we can see how you are going. You'll also need to tell us which variety you are growing.
Step 3 - Enter your final measurements by 6 March 2009 to go into the running to win one of these wicked prizes!
(*note: When measuring the circumference of your watermelon, follow the diagram below:)

Some runner up prizes will also be available in each category including Mi-House playhouses and Yates 'Have a Grow' packs.
Step 4 - You get to eat any leftover juicy watermelon...mmmm..yum!
Who can enter?
There are two categories.
- Schools or other youth groups (eg Scouts)
- Individuals (Anyone under the age of 16)
Registrations have been extended by 3 days, and will now close on 10 November 2008, 5pm.
Seeds will be posted during the week commencing 10 November 2008.
Final measurements must be logged into the secure zone of the website by 5pm on 6 March 2009.
Finalists will be verified by a Landcare or Yates representative by 13 March 2009
Winners will be announced by 20 March 2009.
